Introduction

Inspired by the legendary Six Steeds of Zhao Mausoleum, the Six Steeds of the Tang Dynasty Tourbillon pays tribute to the military achievements and cultural brilliance of Emperor Taizong of Tang. Bringing together Chinese history, landscape art, and mechanical innovation, the watch transforms a traditional timepiece into a miniature panorama of China's heritage.
Its 42mm dial unfolds a remarkable scene of galloping horses, eight celebrated mountains, and the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers. Four horses, sculpted in 18K gold, stand at the cardinal hour positions, while two more are engraved on the rotating hour and minute displays. Every detail is rendered through meticulous micro-carving and hand painting, bringing the spirit of the Tang Dynasty to the wrist. At the heart of the composition, a central tourbillon with a free-sprung balance completes one rotation every 60 seconds. As Memorigin's first automatic-winding watch, it brings together an ambitious mechanical architecture and a vivid tribute to Chinese civilization.

Inspired by the famous stone reliefs of the Six Steeds of Zhao Mausoleum, the dial features four 18K gold horses at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock. Each miniature sculpture measures just 7mm by 5mm. The remaining two horses are engraved on the rotating hour and minute displays, bringing the historic steeds to life as time passes.

The silver dial features eight celebrated Chinese mountains: Mount Tai, Mount Hua, Mount Song, Mount Heng in the south, Mount Heng in the north, Huangshan, Mount Lu, and the Yandang Mountains. Each landscape is meticulously engraved to a depth of less than 1mm and finished with delicate hand painting, capturing the distinctive contours and colors of China's natural scenery.

The two great rivers that nurtured Chinese civilization flow across the dial, connecting the mountain landscapes in a striking composition. Their luminous details glow in the dark, adding another dimension to the scenery and symbolizing the enduring vitality of China's cultural heritage.

At the center of the dial, the tourbillon shares its axis with the hour and minute hands, creating a distinctive mechanical arrangement. A double-layer, unclamped hairspring structure is designed to improve isochronism and support more consistent oscillation. Completing one rotation every 60 seconds, the central tourbillon beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and is powered by an automatic-winding movement.
