BLUE PLANET, THE WORLD ON YOUR WRIST
From carved continents to the Earth's gentle rotation , the Blue Planet takes form -- where time returns to its origin, and the planet itself becomes the instrument to tell time.

In 2021, CIGA Design’s Blue Planet watch emerged from 208 exceptional entries at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG), earning recognition on one of watchmaking’s most prestigious stages.
Known as the “Oscars of Watchmaking,” GPHG celebrates creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation from around the world.
From Earth’s blue oceans to the depths of cosmic darkness, CIGA Design continues its exploration beyond conventional timekeeping.
THE PLANET IN MINIATURE
Not printed, but carved—a world brought to life in relief. Using CNC micro-engraving, continents and oceans rise in relief with precise contours, capturing the world’s land-to-sea balance and the natural transitions between terrain and water. Light travels across peaks and coastlines as you move, revealing depth that feels closer to sculpture than decoration.
Even the details are built in three dimensions: the indices are precision-sculpted, not flat-applied graphics, so the dial remains legible while staying true to the planet-like form. Up close, every ridge and boundary reads as a de- liberate cut—turning geography into craftsmanship, and making the act of checking time feel like looking at the world anew.
TIME GUIDEDBY THE POLAR STAR
Hands disappear; rotation takes over—our Asynchronous-Follow movement technology reconfigures the gear ratios so the hour gear advances 30 ° while the minute gear rotates 390 °, allowing hours and minutes to be read from a single reference point.
Born from Earth’s rotation, Blue Planet returns time to its origin: a rotating miniature world dial where a fixed hour ring holds the frame and a dynamic
minute ring moves in concert, both aligned to a single compass marker as the only pointer—quietly reading hours and minutes as the planet turns.
A MINIMALIST PRESENTATION
Blue Planet is designed as a smooth, uninterrupted object on the wrist: a rounded, lug-free case that reads like a single continuous line, topped by a
domed sapphire crystal that magnifies depth without adding visual noise. Polished surfaces carry light cleanly across the form, while the crown is re- fined for subtle grip and control—detail where it matters, restraint every- where else.
Offered in steel or titanium and sized in 43mm or 46mm, the case keeps its “pebble-like” balance even at larger scale, with comfort guided by the ab- sence of lugs and the natural curve of the profile. A simple blue fluororubber strap completes the minimal silhouette—soft, secure, and quietly modern, so the sculpted dial remains the only thing that speaks.
