The Golden Hues of an Imperial Autumn

The Dan Chen Tian Gong Collection by Merkur draws inspiration from the architectural beauty and seasonal poetry of China's Forbidden City, bringing the refined aesthetics of imperial court art into contemporary independent watchmaking. Each timepiece features an entirely hand-painted dial, where traditional artistic expression meets the intricate mechanics of a high-beat coaxial tourbillon.
Autumn captures one of the Forbidden City's most evocative scenes: crimson palace walls framed by golden autumn foliage. Inspired by the refined compositions of Qing Dynasty court paintings, the dial is created entirely by hand, with carefully layered colors bringing depth to the palace architecture and the delicate silhouettes of falling leaves. Every brushstroke carries the artist's individual touch, ensuring that no two dials are identical.
An open coaxial tourbillon at 6 o'clock adds movement and mechanical contrast to the tranquil autumn landscape. Together with finely sculpted hands and meticulously finished movement components, the watch celebrates the quiet grandeur of the imperial palace and the artistry of traditional Chinese craftsmanship.
