Classical Architecture, Reimagined

The VERITAS QINGLUAN Q8012 translates the architectural character of a traditional carriage clock into a distinctive rectangular wristwatch. Its 36mm × 23mm case is constructed from high-molybdenum specification stainless steel and finished with a combination of refined satin brushing and polished surfaces, creating a compact yet architectural presence on the wrist. The Ivory White dial introduces a tactile paper-fiber texture, reminiscent of fine handmade paper, while blue detailing traces the circular geometry of the dial. A small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock completes the composition. Classical Spade hands, polished and platinum-coated for enhanced resistance to oxidation, add a refined metallic accent. Powered by the Swiss ETA 980.163 quartz movement, the QINGLUAN offers precise, low-maintenance performance in an unusually slim 7.01mm profile.

The QINGLUAN takes its architectural inspiration from historical carriage clocks, translating their framed construction into a compact rectangular wristwatch. The stepped upper and lower case elements create a distinctive bridge-like silhouette, while the restrained 36mm × 23mm proportions preserve an elegant, vintage character without appearing oversized.

The YaBai dial is defined by its delicate paper-fiber texture, giving the surface a subtle organic quality rather than the uniform appearance of a conventional lacquered dial. Against the warm ivory background, crisp blue markings and circular tracks create a refined contrast, bringing together traditional aesthetics and contemporary graphic design.

The QINGLUAN uses classically shaped Spade hands, carefully polished before receiving a platinum coating. Beyond its distinctive silvery appearance, the platinum layer enhances the hands’ resistance to oxidation. Their sculptural profile catches and reflects light as they move across the textured dial, reinforcing the watch’s understated horological character.

At just 7.01mm thick, the QINGLUAN combines a highly structured case design with the practicality of a Swiss ETA 980.163 quartz movement. The caliber provides hours, minutes and small seconds, together with a low-battery indication and hacking function. Its approximately three-year battery life makes the watch exceptionally convenient for daily wear.
