Inspired by Guan Yu, the legendary Chinese figure revered for his unwavering loyalty, integrity, and righteousness, the Guan Yu in Green transforms traditional cultural symbolism into a remarkable work of contemporary independent watchmaking.
Drawing on the solemn aesthetics of imperial sculpture and the expressive artistry of Guizhou Nuo opera, the dial is sculpted in silver, bringing Guan Yu’s iconic red face to life amid intricately rendered dragons and auspicious clouds. Even the hands carry a deeper meaning, taking inspiration from the legendary weapons of Liu Bei and Zhang Fei to evoke the enduring brotherhood of the three sworn companions.
At its heart, the 5811 tourbillon movement introduces dynamic mechanical artistry into this richly sculptural composition. A deep green case and strap echo Guan Yu’s signature green robe, while the high-domed crystal accentuates the relief’s depth and dimensionality.
