ETERNAL TIME, INFINITE ASCENT

From the first ascent of Everest, Everest Summit takes form. Raw stone textures, ice axe hands, and a central tourbillon embody human courage in mechanical craft.

GPHG Recognition

In 2021, CIGA Design’s Blue Planet watch emerged from 208 exceptional entries at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG), earning recognition on one of watchmaking’s most prestigious stages.
Known as the “Oscars of Watchmaking,” GPHG celebrates creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation from around the world.
From Earth’s blue oceans to the depths of cosmic darkness, CIGA Design continues its exploration beyond conventional timekeeping.

THE SUMMIT HELD IN STONE

Everest Summit begins with the mountain. Its dial is not an imitation of rock, but genuine Everest bedrock gathered from the foothills and refined into a surface of raw endurance. Fragile and difficult to shape, the stone resists ordinary watchmaking. Through cutting, laser shaping, and CNC engraving, its natural grain is preserved while depth, relief, and contrast are brought forward.
A carved Everest relief and altitude mark rise from the dial, coated with Swiss Super-LumiNova® C1 to glow against the stone after dark. Each texture remains unique, each contour shaped by nature before craft. What once belonged to the mountain becomes a quiet field of time — where every glance returns to height, hardship, and the spirit carried from the summit.

THE SUMMIT CAST IN STRENGTH

Everest Summit carries its story through form. The 45mm case is shaped in Grade 5 titanium, chosen for lightness, strength, and resilience. Through engraving, etching, sandblasting, and hand-polishing, the case gains a layered surface language — gloss against matte, edge against curve. Fine notches are carved into the bezel, letting the case itself mark time.
That purpose continues in the hands. Inspired by Sir Edmund Hillary’s historic ice axe, their angular silhouette recalls the tool that cut a path through ice on the first ascent. Swiss Super-LumiNova® gives them clarity in darkness, while sapphire crystal protects the stone dial and tourbillon beneath. From case to hands, strength becomes a frame for the summit within.

THE ASCENT AT THE CENTER

Vector expresses minimalism through a case built with purpose: seamless curves, integrated lugs, and a profile that stays lean while holding a strong mechanical stance.
Offered in carbon fiber, steel, and titanium, each version brings the same controlled silhouette into a different material language — from the technical lightness of forged carbon to the understated clarity of matte metal.
A domed sapphire crystal arcs above the case, clear and anti-reflective, drawing the eye toward the movement beneath. Around it, the layered bezel introduces depth without noise: raised numerals, selected minute scales, and stepped contrasts of polished and micro-sandblasted surfaces create a sharper outer rhythm. The result is a form that feels precise, resilient, and composed. At the heart of Everest Summit is the self-developed Caliber CD-05, a manual central tourbillon built to make time revolve at the highest point of the design. Positioned in the middle of the dial, the tourbillon becomes more than a complication: it is a mechanical summit, turning with balance, endurance, and exactness. Four mainsprings deliver a 120-hour power reserve, while 33 jewels and layered finishing give depth without excess.
Its centered motion echoes the discipline of ascent. Where a conventional tourbillon may sit at the edge, Everest Summit brings it into full command, letting the eye return to one turning point. Sandblasted details reinforce the movement’s order. Here, time does not simply pass — it holds its place at the summit.
